I putting men on blast for this one.
Today i happened upon a show on cable that was a commentary on black women and their hair.
Kudos to BET J for putting this programme but then again BET J is the BUPPY channel.
The producer when to different focus groups made up of black men and women discussing their feelings on black women, ideas of beauty re: lenght, style, chemicals and the ever important weave issue.
No I get vex when i realise the cliched focus groups ... black women in their living room in a book club setting and the men at a barber shoppe. Now that wasn't the only place the interviewed black women but that was the only place they interviewed black men. - steups.
In the midst of this a man bawl he doh rate (does not esteem) women with short or natural hair because he realise in most cases is laziness.
NOW forgive me. A man is berating women for being lazy.
Lord there is too much to say but I think I will leave this one alone.
I just ... had to put it out there...
